| il Boom! / Roman tavern Amsterdam I've been involved in the whole startup process of this new restaurant in Amsterdam's most fancy district (Oud Zuid) and I've come out with a name referring to the economical 'Boom' that Italy witnessed in the fifties and sixties, to this day the Glory Period of postbellic Rome, not only for the economy but also for the cinema ('Il Boom' is also the title of a movie of that period), the style, the fashion and cultural expressions in general. This 'energetic' name is meant as a challenge in these times of crisis but also as a wish for economical recovery for both Italy and the Netherlands. |
